For years this site has been close to death, lamed, unusable. Of course it is my fault; I was short of pushing power. But some external causes of the strange situation might be mentioned.
Living in France we had domains registered with Strato. No reason to complain whatsoever. When moving to Germany I contacted Strato by telephone from the Netherlands, April 2008, questioning how to proceed. In July 2008 we effectively moved from France and shortly after I contacted Strato in writing by fax from our present address. Nothing happened.
Summer 2009 Strato promoted an action change internet provider to which I reacted, filled in everything, adding that change within Strato between branches should be possible as well. My passwords then did not longer allow to pass into my domains. Fall 2009 there was E-mail correspondance – fo course via German E-mail address – with Julien Dirk and Julien Devaux of Strato.fr among others. New passwords were sent. Never again was their any mentioning of my French E-mail.
Then, end of 2009, I should have taken action, changing internet provider. But I did not. Sloppy. Still I hoped to reach the better with Strato and when in summer 2010 they repeated Werbung Wechsel – Umzug I tried again. That fall I learned from a deeper look in the system that my French password was not valid in Germany: nicht gültig in diesem Länderbereich! Then I also learned that Strato had never informed the top level registrars about the fact that one of their domain owners had moved from France to Germany.
This year, after a new period of me being unable to do much, I contacted Strato and 1und1.de for a change of internet provider. Repeatedly I had to fire Strato before an AuthInfoCode was communicated – for herpnaam.info. A restart with www.herpnaam.info now became possible.
About www.riparium.eu nothing was mentioned. It took some time before I knew that Eurid made no use of codes. Under whois I could see that no change of E-mail had been effectuated. And indeed they confirmed that still Strato had not sent the required information.
So in september, two months after the intended change was initiated, the original owner (also being the present because ownership did not change) of the riparium domain was not reached to accord the change – if I have to understand Eurid due to sloppyness of Strato.
